Disclosed are an electronic apparatus for determining of value consciousness and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the method for determining of value consciousness includes the steps of: receiving a score indicating the degree of user orientation for each value hierarchy; weighting the score input in relation to at least one value hierarchy selected from among the value hierarchies; and determining the value consciousness of a user based on the weighted score and the score inputted in relation to the value hierarchies other than the selected value hierarchy. Accordingly, the electronic apparatus can accurately and objectively determine the value consciousness of the user by determining the value consciousness of the user by using the individual score and an overall score indicating the degree of the user′s orientation to the six value hierarchies. 가치 의식 판단을 위한 전자 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 가치 의식 판단 방법은 가치 위계 각각에 대한 사용자의 지향 정도를 나타내는 점수를 입력받는 단계, 가치 위계 중 선택된 적어도 하나의 가치 위계와 관련하여 입력된 점수에 가중치를 부여하는 단계 및 가중치가 부여된 점수와 선택된 가치 위계를 제외한 나머지 가치 위계와 관련하여 입력된 점수에 기초하여 사용자의 가치 의식을 판단하는 단계를 포함한다. 이에 따라, 전자 장치는 6가지 가치 위계에 대한 사용자의 지향 정도를 나타내는 개별 점수 및 총괄 점수를 이용하여 사용자의 가치 의식을 판단함으로써, 정확하고 객관적으로 사용자의 가치 의식을 판단할 수 있다.
