According to various embodiments, an electronic device includes: a housing; at least one display exposed through at least one part of the housing, and including a touch sensor; a processor placed in the housing, and operatively connected with the display; and a memory placed in the housing, and operatively connected with the processor. The memory can store instructions which, when executed, enable the processor to display an execution screen of an application on the at least one display in a state in which the electronic device is unfolded; sense a folding gesture with respect to the electronic device; determine a partial area of the at least one display displaying the execution screen of the application in response to the sensed folding gesture; display a touch lock screen on the determined partial area; and process a touch event received from the touch sensor of the at least one display after the display of the touch lock screen.
