Summary: | An embodiment of the present invention relates to a steering apparatus for a vehicle, which includes: a damping member formed in a hollow shape and having a protrusion supported by a rack housing and elongated in an axial direction on an outer circumferential surface; and a bush that is supported on an inner circumferential surface of the damping member and supports a sliding of a rack bar, wherein the bush supporting the sliding of the rack bar reduces an area supported by the rack housing, and the damping member coupled to the bush increases the area supported by the rack housing, thereby facilitating tolerance management between the bush and the rack bar. The axial direction and radial direction loads of the rack bar are supported so that the rack bar slides smoothly, and a collision between the bush and the rack housing and the bush and the rack bar is prevented, thereby improving the damping performance and noise performance. In addition, the friction between the bush and the rack bar is reduced so that the durability against abrasion of the bush is improved and the steering sensation can be increased.
