The present invention is a solid or liquid composition containing 1 to 1000 times the amount of sodium chloride relative to the weight of povidone-iodine. More specifically, the present invention provides an aqueous solution composition and a method thereof, in which in the case of a solid composition, an effective iodine content is maintained at 85% or more when being stored at room temperature for 3 years, and in the case of the aqueous solution, the effective iodine content is maintained at 85% or more when being stored at room temperature for 30 months. 본 발명은 포비돈 요오드 중량 대비 sodium chloride를 1 내지 1000 배량의 비율로 함유하는 고체 또는 액체 조성물로서 고체 조성물의 경우 상온에서 3년간 저장시 유효 요오드 함량이 85% 이상 유지되고, 수용액 조성물의 경우 30개월 상온 저장시 유효 요오드 함량이 85% 이상 유지되는 수용액 조성물과 방법들을 제공한다.
