An image processing apparatus is disclosed. The image processing apparatus comprises: a memory which stores information about at least one random patch; and a processor which obtains a correlation between each of a plurality of random patches obtained from information on the at least one random patch and a pixel block included in an input image, obtains a weight of each of the plurality of random patches based on the obtained correlation, applies the weight corresponding to each of the plurality of random patches, and obtains an output image by applying a weight-applied random patch to a pixel block.
