Summary:The present application is to provide a flexible display device and a manufacturing method thereof without a laser release process of separating a carrier mother glass and a flexible substrate. A flexible display device according to an example of the present application includes: a flexible substrate, an etch stop layer bonded to the entire front surface of the flexible substrate, a buffer layer formed over the entire surface of the etch stop layer, a pixel array unit disposed on the buffer layer, and an encapsulation part covering the pixel array unit. 본 출원은 캐리어 머더 글라스와 플렉서블 기판을 분리하는 레이저 릴리즈 공정 없이 플렉서블 디스플레이 장치 및 이의 제조 방법을 제공하는 것으로, 본 출원의 일 예에 따른 플렉서블 디스플레이 장치는 플렉서블 기판, 플렉서블 기판의 전면 전체에 결합된 식각 방지층, 식각 방지층의 전면 전체에 형성된 버퍼층, 버퍼층 상에 배치된 화소 어레이부, 및 화소 어레이부를 덮는 봉지부를 포함할 수 있다.
