A method performed by a User Equipment (UE) for Scheduling Request, SR, operations includes receiving, from a base station, a Radio Resource Control, RRC, message including an SR configuration that includes a set of Physical Uplink Control Channel, PUCCH, resources configured for a plurality of Bandwidth Parts, BWPs. The UE then triggers an SR procedure for a logical channel in a case that the logical channel satisfies an SR triggering condition and determines whether an active BWP of the UE is configured with a PUCCH resource in the set of PUCCH resources. In a case that the active BWP of the UE is not configured with any PUCCH resource in the set of PUCCH resources, after triggering the SR procedure the UE initiates a Random Access, RA, procedure, and cancels the SR procedure for the logical channel.
