Disclosed is a swash plate type compressor. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the swash plate type compressor, which carries a cylinder block storing a piston compressing a refrigerant, a front housing combined in front of the cylinder block and including a crank chamber, a rear housing including a suction chamber and a discharge chamber and combined behind the cylinder block, a gasket inserted into the cylinder block and a suction lead plate inserted between a valve plate and the cylinder block, includes: a first orifice hole through which the refrigerant in the crank chamber flows; a second orifice hole connected to the suction chamber to discharge the refrigerant having flowed through the first orifice hole to the suction chamber; a middle flow path connecting the first and second orifice holes; and a valve plate installed beside the rear housing while being connected to the suction chamber to provide a suction chamber pressure maintaining space maintained at the same pressure as the pressure of the suction chamber.
