A liquid crystal display device of an embodiment comprises: a light source member including a plurality of light emitting device packages; and a liquid crystal display panel including a first substrate adjacent to the light source member, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate adjacent to the light source member. The first substrate includes a first base substrate, a color conversion layer disposed on the first base substrate and including the quantum dots, and a first polarizing layer disposed above the first base substrate. The second substrate includes a second base substrate, a second polarizing layer disposed above the liquid crystal layer, and a circuit layer disposed under the second base substrate. A color conversion layer including a quantum dot is provided integrally with a substrate of the liquid crystal display panel.
