Disclosed is a device for monitoring and inducing sleep to stimulate a user′s senses in accordance with the sleeping state of the user. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the device comprises: a communication unit receiving a signal about sleeping activity of the user detected by a sleeping activity detection device; a surrounding environment detection unit detecting the surrounding environment of the user; a sleep information generation unit generating first information about the user′s body based on the signal about the sleeping activity and generating second information about the surrounding environment of the user based on the detected surrounding environment; a sleeping state analysis unit analyzing the sleeping state of the user as one of an awakened state, a light sleep state, a deep sleep state, and a REM sleep state based on the first information; and a sense stimulus output unit stimulating the user′s senses based on the first and second information. 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른, 수면 모니터링 및 수면 유도 장치가 개시된다. 상기 수면 모니터링 및 수면 유도 장치는 수면 활동 감지 장치에서 감지된 사용자의 수면 활동에 대한 신호를 수신하는 통신부; 상기 사용자의 주변 환경을 감지하는 주변 환경 감지부; 상기 수면 활동에 대한 신호에 기초하여 상기 사용자의 신체에 대한 제1 정보를 생성하고, 그리고 상기 감지된 주변 환경에 기초하여 상기 사용자의 주변 환경에 대한 제2 정보를 생성하는 수면 정보 생성부; 상기 제 1 정보에 기초하여 상기 사용자의 수면 상태를 사용자가 깨어 있는 상태, 얇은 수면 상태, 깊은 수면 상태 및 렘(REM) 수면 상태 중 어느 하나로 분석하는 수면 상태 분석부; 및 상기 제 1 정보 및 상기 제 2 정보에 기초하여 상기 사용자의 감각을 자극하는 감각 자극 출력부;를 포함할 수 있다.
