According to the present invention, provided is an object tracking system, which comprises: a face recognition unit recognizing a face from at least some of photographed images; a matching unit checking whether the recognized face is the same person compared with recognized external person information; and a same person extraction unit checking whether the same person exits in another photographed image and extracting all photographed images in which the same person exists when checked as the same person. According to the present invention, a face of a person can be automatically and accurately recognized from all images photographed and secured by a black box for a vehicle, so as to check whose face is the face. 본 발명에 따른 객체추적 시스템은, 촬영된 영상 중 적어도 일부의 영상으로부터 얼굴인식을 하는 얼굴인식부와, 인식된 얼굴을 외부의 인물 정보와 대비하여 동일인인지를 확인하는 매칭부와, 동일인으로 확인되면, 촬영된 다른 영상에서 상기 동일인이 존재하는지 여부를 확인하여 동일인이 존재하는 모든 쵤영된 영상을 추출하는 동일인 추출부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 차량용 블랙박스에 의하여 촬영되어 확보된 모든 영상으로부터 자동으로 사람의 얼굴을 정확하게 인식하고 이 얼굴이 누구의 얼굴인지를 확인할 수 있다.
