The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for processing a carbon nanotube for removing metallic foreign bodies generated during a process of synthesizing a carbon nanotube. In addition, the present invention comprises: a synthesis step of synthesizing a carbon nanotube in a main reactor; a transport step of transporting the carbon nanotube completely synthesized in the synthesis step; a foreign body removing step of inputting the carbon nanotube, transported from the transport step, into an electromagnetic filter to remove metallic foreign bodies therefrom; a drying step of inputting the carbon nanotube with foreign bodies removed from the foreign body removing step into a dryer to dry the same; and a packing step of inputting the carbon nanotube dried from the drying step into a packing machine to pack the same. 본 발명은 탄소나노튜브 합성 공정 중 발생되는 금속 이물을 제거하기 위한 탄소나노튜브의 가공 방법 및 그 탄소나노튜브의 가공 장치에 관한 것이다. 또한, 본 발명은 탄소나노튜브를 메인 반응기에서 합성하는 합성 단계, 상기 합성 단계에서 합성이 완료된 탄소나노튜브를 이송하는 이송 단계, 상기 이송 단계에서 이송된 상기 탄소나노튜브를 전자석 탈철기로 투입하여 금속 이물을 제거하는 이물 제거 단계, 상기 이물 제거 단계에서 이물이 제거된 상기 탄소나노튜브를 건조기에 투입하여 건조시키는 건조 단계 및 상기 건조 단계에서 건조된 상기 탄소나노튜브를 포장기로 투입하여 포장하는 포장 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
