Summary:A transmission apparatus is disclosed. According to the present invention, the transmission apparatus comprises: an encoding unit which performs low density parity check (LDPC) encoding to generate an LDPC codeword; an interleaver for interleaving the LDPC codeword; and a modulation unit for mapping the interleaved LDPC codeword to a modulation symbol. The modulation unit maps bits included in a preset bit group among a plurality of bit groups constituting the LDPC codeword to preset bits in the modulation symbol. 송신 장치가 개시된다. 본 송신 장치는 LDPC 부호화를 수행하여 LDPC 부호어를 생성하는 부호화부, LDPC 부호어를 인터리빙하는 인터리버 및 인터리빙된 LDPC 부호어를 변조 심볼에 맵핑하는 변조부를 포함하며, 변조부는 LDPC 부호어를 구성하는 복수의 비트 그룹 중 기설정된 비트 그룹에 포함된 비트를 상기 변조 심볼 내의 기설정된 비트에 맵핑한다.
