An object of the present invention is to provide a wire disconnection predicting apparatus which enables prediction of disconnection of a wire according to various processing conditions in processing by a wire electric discharge machine. The wire disconnection predicting apparatus is equipped with: a data acquisition unit which acquires data related to the processing of work in a status in which the wire is not disconnected when the work is processed by the wire electric discharge machine; a pre-processing unit which creates processing condition data which is a condition related to a commanded processing condition in the processing of the work, processing member data related to a member used for the processing, and processing status data when processing the work as status data indicating a status of processing; and a learning unit which generates a learning model indicating correlation, between the status data and a status that the wire electric discharge machine is not disconnected, based on the status data created by the pre-processing unit. 와이어 단선 예측 장치는, 와이어 방전 가공기에 의한 워크의 가공시에, 와이어가 단선되어 있지 않은 상태에 있어서의 워크의 가공에 관련된 데이터를 취득하는 데이터 취득부와, 워크의 가공에 있어서 지령되는 가공 조건에 관련된 조건인 가공 조건 데이터와, 가공에 사용되는 부재에 관련된 가공 부재 데이터와, 워크의 가공시의 가공 상태 데이터를, 가공의 상태를 나타내는 상태 데이터로서 작성하는 전처리부와, 전처리부가 작성한 상태 데이터에 기초하여, 상태 데이터와 와이어 방전 가공기의 와이어가 단선되지 않은 상태의 상관성을 나타내는 학습 모델을 생성하는 학습부를 구비한다.
