Summary:Disclosed are a vehicle gateway system and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the vehicle gateway system includes: an external interface connected to an external device of a vehicle through wireless communication to transmit and receive messages; an internal interface connected to various electronic control units (ECU) through a CAN communication line in the vehicle to transmit and receive messages; a message analysis part identifying whether a message is a predetermined programming message by confirming a message ID of an arbitration field when the reception of the message starts; and a control part receiving all messages in accordance with CAN communication characteristics, and then, transmitting all the messages to an ECU on the destination through classification and reformation processing procedures, while transmitting a received message to the ECU on the destination by copying the immediately received message without conducting the classification and reformation processing procedures of all the messages if the reception of the programming message is confirmed through the message analysis part. Therefore, the vehicle gateway system is capable of reducing the time required for message reformation. 차량 게이트웨이 시스템 및 그 제어 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 차량 게이트웨이 시스템은, 차량의 외부 장치와 무선통신으로 연결되어 메시지를 송수신하는 외부 인터페이스, 차량 내 CAN 통신라인을 통해 각종 제어기(Electronic Control Unit, ECU)와 연결되어 메시지를 송수신 하는 내부 인터페이스, 메시지 수신이 시작되면 중재 필드(Arbitration Field)의 메시지 ID를 확인하여 규정된 프로그래밍 메시지인지 여부를 파악하는 메시지 분석부 및 CAN 통신 특성에 따른 전체 메시지를 수신 후 구분 및 재구성 처리과정을 통해 목적지의 ECU로 전송하되, 상기 메시지 분석부를 통해 상기 프로그래밍 메시지의 수신이 확인되면 상기 전체 메시지의 구분 및 재구성 처리과정을 생략하고 즉시 수신되는 메시지를 복사하여 목적지의 ECU로 전송하는 제어부를 포함한다.
