A method for manufacturing a nanowire using a metal catalyst according to an embodiment includes the steps of: dissolving an oxide precursor in an aqueous solvent; generating an oxide precipitate by adding a precipitate to the aqueous solvent in which the oxide precursor is dissolved; making the oxide precipitate react with a metal catalyst added into the aqueous solvent; and heating the aqueous solvent to grow the oxide precipitate into a nanowire. 실시예에 관한 금속 촉매를 이용한 나노 와이어의 제조 방법은 산화물 전구체를 수계 용매에 용해시키는 단계, 산화물 전구체가 용해된 수계 용매에 침전체를 첨가하여 산화물 침전물을 생성하는 단계, 수계 용매에 금속 촉매를 첨가하여 산화물 침전물과 반응시키는 단계, 및 수계 용매를가열하여 산화물 침전물을 나노 와이어로 성장시키는 단계를 포함한다.
