Summary:The present invention relates to an optical amplification device, which comprises: an optical pumping unit for generating pump light; a gain medium unit for performing optical amplification of a seed beam through the pump light; and a light transmission unit which collects the pump light generated by the optical pumping unit and transfers the collected pump light to the gain medium unit. The gain medium unit includes a first segment including a focusing point, which is the point with the highest focusing rate of the pump light, and a second segment including a non-focusing point, which is the point with the lowest focusing rate of the pump light, wherein the doping rate of the first segment is higher than the doping rate of the second segment. The present invention selectively increases the doping concentration of a portion with high pump intensity or a portion with high laser mode distribution, thereby obtaining more amplified laser output intensity at the same pump intensity in comparison to the case in which the doping concentration is uniform in the gain medium. 본 발명은 광 증폭 장치에 관한 것으로, 펌프광을 발생시키는 광 펌핑부, 상기 펌프광을 통한 씨드빔의 광 증폭이 이루어지는 이득매질부 및 상기 광 펌핑부에서 발생된 펌프광을 집광하여 상기 이득매질부로 전달하는 광 전달부를 포함하여, 상기 이득매질부는 상기 펌프광의 집속율이 가장 높은 지점인 집속지점이 포함된 제1 세그먼트 및 상기 펌프광의 집속율이 가장 낮은 지점인 비집속지점이 포함된 제2 세그먼트를 포함하며, 상기 제1 세그먼트의 도핑율이 상기 제2 세그먼트의 도핑율 보다 높게 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명은 펌프 세기가 높은 부분이나 레이저 모드 분포가 높은 부분의 도핑 농도를 선택적으로 높임으로써, 이득매질 내에 도핑 농도가 균일한 경우와 비교하여 동일한 펌프 세기에서 보다 증폭된 레이저 출력 세기를 얻을 수 있다.
