Summary: | The present invention relates to a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery, which has a negative electrode material layer formed on at least one side of a negative electrode current collector, and to a lithium secondary battery comprising the negative electrode, wherein the negative electrode material layer comprises large-particle graphite, small-particle silicon-based material, micro-particle graphite, and carbon nanotubes, wherein the following conditions 1 to 3 are satisfied: [Condition 1] average diameter of large-particle graphite D50 (D_1): 1 μm to 50 μm; [Condition 2] average diameter of small-particle silicon-based material D50 (D_2): 0.155 D_1 to 0.414 D_1; and [Condition 3] average diameter of micro-particle graphite D50 (D_3): 0.155 D_1 to 0.414 D_1, or 0.155 D_2 to 0.414 D_2.
