The present invention provides a method for detecting deterioration of a capacitor, which comprises the steps of: photographing an upper surface of a cylindrical capacitor to generate a target image; using the long and short lengths of the target image changed in accordance with a degree of deterioration of the capacitor and calculating an angle between the camera and the capacitor; finding the center of the target image changed in accordance with the degree of deterioration of the capacitor and calculating the length of a center projection line connecting points where the center of the target image is projected on a viewing plane of the camera; using the angle between the camera and the capacitor and the length of the center projection line and calculating the center height change amount of the target image; and using the center height change amount and determining the degree of deterioration of the capacitor. 본 발명은, 카메라가 원통형 커패시터의 윗면을 촬영하여 대상 이미지를 생성하는 단계와, 커패시터의 열화 정도에 따라 변화되는 대상 이미지의 장축 및 단축 길이를 이용하여 카메라 및 커패시터 간 각도를 산출하는 단계와, 커패시터의 열화 정도에 따라 변화되는 대상 이미지의 중심을 찾고 대상 이미지의 중심이 카메라의 뷰잉 플레인 상에 투영되는 점들을 이은 중심 투영 선의 길이를 산출하는 단계와, 카메라 및 커패시터 간 각도 및 중심 투영 선의 길이를 이용하여 대상 이미지의 중심 높이 변화량을 산출하는 단계와, 중심 높이 변화량을 이용하여 커패시터의 열화 정도를 판단하는 단계를 포함하는 커패시터 열화 감지 방법을 제공한다.
