Summary:According to an embodiment of the present invention, a speed measuring device comprises: a communication module which can be installed on a wheel to simplify measuring the rotational speed of the wheel and transmits a polarization signal through a transmission antenna having a polarization characteristic in a certain direction; a reception antenna for receiving the polarization signal; and an electric field strength meter for measuring the electric field strength of the polarization signal. The speed measuring device comprises a reception terminal which calculates the rotational speed of the wheel based on a predetermined circumference of the wheel and the electric field strength of the polarization signal. 일 실시예에 따른 속도 측정 장치는, 휠의 회전 속도 측정을 간편히 하기 위해, 휠에 설치 가능하고, 일정 방향의 편파(Polarization) 특성을 갖는 송신 안테나를 통해 편파 신호를 송신하는 통신 모듈 및 상기 편파 신호를 수신하는 수신 안테나 및 상기 편파 신호의 전계 강도를 측정하는 전계 강도 측정기를 포함하고, 미리 정해진 상기 휠의 원주 및 상기 편파 신호의 전계 강도를 기초로 상기 휠의 회전 속도를 산출하는 수신 단말기를 포함한다.
