Summary:Disclosed are a method and apparatus for displaying a VMI screen and a local screen in a specific area. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided are a method and apparatus for displaying a VMI screen and a local screen in a specific area which enable a device to receive a relatively fast VMI service by reducing network traffic when encoding/decoding a VMI screen through replacing some part of the entire VMI screen with a local screen, or replaying some part of the local screen with the VMI screen while not only exposing the entire VMI screen when running a VMI client. 특정영역에서의 VMI화면과 로컬화면 표시 방법 및 장치를 개시한다. 본 실시예는 VMI 클라이언트를 실행시킬 때 전체 VMI화면만을 노출하는 것이 아니라, 전체 VMI화면 중 일부영역을 로컬화면으로 대체하거나 전체 로컬화면 중 일부영역을 VMI화면으로 대체하여 VMI화면을 인코딩(Encoding)/디코딩(Decoding)시 네트워크 트래픽을 절감하여 디바이스에서 상대적으로 빠른 VMI 서비스를 제공받을 수 있도록 하는 특정영역에서의 VMI화면과 로컬화면 표시 방법 및 장치를 제공한다.
