Summary:Disclosed is a display device capable of linearly varying luminance. The display device comprises: an LED module; an LED driver including a switching element and varying a switching frequency of the switching element based on intensity of a current provided to the LED module; and a processor generating a pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming signal and providing the PWM signal to the LED driver based on pixel information of an input image. The processor may control the LED driver for the switching frequency of the switching element to be increased by reducing the intensity of the current provided to the LED module if a pixel value of the input image is below a threshold value. 디스플레이 장치가 개시된다. 디스플레이 장치는, LED 모듈, 스위칭 소자를 포함하며, LED 모듈에 제공되는 전류의 세기에 기초하여 스위칭 소자의 스위칭 주파수를 가변하는 LED 드라이버 및, 입력 영상의 픽셀 정보에 기초하여 PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) 디밍 신호를 생성하여 LED 드라이버로 제공하는 프로세서를 포함하며, 프로세서는, 입력 영상의 픽셀 값 임계 값 미만인 경우, LED 모듈에 제공되는 전류의 세기를 감소시켜 스위칭 소자의 스위칭 주파수가 증가되도록 LED 드라이버를 제어할 수 있다.
