An object of the present invention is to provide a performance testing device of an energy storage system and a method thereof for performing automatic testing based on a performance testing algorithm with respect to a testing item selected through mobile test equipment in order to eliminate the inconvenience of manual testing and testing organization-site separation with respect to energy storage system performance testing. According to the present invention, the performance testing device of an energy storage system includes: mobile test equipment testing the performance of an energy storage system in connection with the energy storage system; a simulation model providing system and energy storage system simulation environments such that independent testing can be performed; a data storage device organizing data generated in the performance testing device and the mobile test equipment; a time synchronization device synchronizing time in connection with the performance testing device and applying time to input and output data; an electric power measuring device measuring and collecting electric power data necessary for performance testing; a wireless control device providing a tester interface for executing performance testing while confirming the state of the energy storage system during the testing through the mobile test equipment; and a testing control unit equipped with a testing algorithm with respect to a performance testing item for automatically executing performance testing with respect to a performance testing item selected from the wireless control device and operating the performance testing device while controlling the mobile test equipment and the energy storage system. 본 발명은 에너지 저장장치의 성능시험 장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 에너지 저장장치의 성능시험 장치는, 이동형으로 에너지 저장장치와 연계하여 에너지 저장장치의 성능을 시험하는 이동형 시험장비; 독립적으로 시험 진행이 가능하도록 계통과 에너지 저장장치의 시뮬레이션 환경을 제공하는 모의모델; 성능시험 장치와 이동형 시험장비에서 발생하는 데이터를 정리하는 데이터 저장장치; 성능시험 장치와 연계하여 시각을 동기화하고 입출력 데이터에 시각을 부여하는 시각 동기화 장치; 성능시험을 진행하기 위해 필요한 전력데이터를 측정하여 수집하는 전력 측정장치; 이동형 시험장비를 통해 시험을 진행하는 동안 에너지 저장장치의 상태를 확인하면서 성능시험을 수행하기 위한 시험자 인터페이스를 제공하는 무선 조정장치; 및 무선 조정장치로부터 선택된 성능시험 항목에 대해 성능시험을 자동으로 진행하기 위한 성능시험 항목에 대한 시험 알고리즘을 탑재하여 이동형 시험장비와 에너지 저장장치를 제어하면서 성능시험 장치를 운용하는 시험 제어부;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
