Summary:Disclosed are a location correcting apparatus of a vehicle and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the location correcting apparatus comprises: a GPS reception unit receiving GPS information from a GPS satellite; an RTK reception unit receiving RTK information from an RTK system; a vehicle speed detection unit detecting the speed of a vehicle; and a control unit calculating a current location of the vehicle based on the GPS information received from the GPS reception unit, calculating a target correction value for correcting the location and the posture of the vehicle by tuning a covariance matrix of the Kalman filter based on the RTK information received from the RTK reception unit, and then adjusting a correction value in accordance with the vehicle speed to output an estimated correction location. 본 발명은 차량의 위치 보정 장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 차량의 위치 보정 장치는, GPS 위성으로부터 GPS 정보를 수신받는 GPS 수신부; RTK 시스템으로부터 RTK 정보를 수신받는 RTK 수신부; 차량의 차속을 감지하는 차속감지부; 및 GPS 수신부로부터 수신된 GPS 정보를 기반으로 차량의 현재 위치를 산출하고, RTK 수신부로부터 수신된 RTK 정보를 기반으로 칼만필터의 공분산 행렬을 튜닝하여 차량의 위치와 자세를 보정하기 위한 목표 보정값을 산출한 후 차속에 따라 보정값을 조정하여 추정된 보정위치를 출력하는 제어부;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
