The present invention relates to a canvas coated with ocher, and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein a composition using ocher as a main material is coated to a canvas surface, so that the absorbency of a paint can be improved. The method for manufacturing the canvas of the present invention to implement the same comprises: an ocher composition mixing step of mixing water, ocher, illite, amethyst, quartzite, jade, zeolite, sericite, and elvan; an ocher coating step of coating the mixed ocher composition to the surface of a canvas cloth; and a drying step of drying the canvas cloth coated with the ocher composition. 본 발명은 황토가 도포된 캔버스 및 그 제작방법에 관한 것으로서, 캔버스 표면에 황토를 주재료로 하는 조성물이 도포됨으로서 물감의 흡수력이 향상되어질 수 있게 된다. 이를 실현하기 위한 본 발명의 캔버스 제작방법은, 물, 황토, 일라이트, 자수정, 규석, 옥, 제오라이트, 세레사이트, 맥반석을 혼합하는 황토 조성물 혼합단계와; 상기 혼합되어진 황토 조성물을 캔버스 천의 표면에 도포하는 황토 도포단계와; 상기 황토 조성물이 도포된 캔버스 천을 건조시키는 건조단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
