Summary:Disclosed are a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery having a highly stretchable polymer protective layer, a production method thereof, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the negative electrode. By forming the highly stretchable polymer protective layer on a lithium-based negative electrode active material, lithium is accumulated or removed between the protective layer and a current collector, the polymer protective layer is also stretched, and thus short circuit in a battery due to lithium dendrites is prevented. To this end, the negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery having a highly stretchable polymer protective layer comprises: the current collector; a lithium-based negative active material layer provided on the current collector; and the highly stretchable polymer protective layer provided on the surface of the lithium-based negative electrode active material layer. 연신성이 우수한 고분자 보호층을 리튬계 음극 활물질 상에 형성시킴으로써 리튬이 보호층과 집전체의 사이에 쌓이거나 탈리되고, 이에 따라, 고분자 보호층 또한 신축(伸縮)되어, 리튬 덴드라이트에 의한 전지의 단락 현상을 방지할 수 있는, 고연신성 고분자 보호층이 형성된 리튬 이차전지용 음극, 이의 제조 방법 및 상기 음극을 포함하는 리튬 이차전지가 개시된다. 상기 고연신성 고분자 보호층이 형성된 리튬 이차전지용 음극은, 집전체; 상기 집전체 상에 위치하는 리튬계 음극 활물질층; 및 상기 리튬계 음극 활물질층의 표면에 위치한 고연신성 고분자 보호층;을 포함한다.
