Disclosed are a method for supporting big data analysis based on provenance information and an apparatus performing the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for supporting big data analysis comprises the steps of: receiving a provision request for a big data analysis method from a big data analysis apparatus; reconfiguring a workflow selected from a plurality of workflows corresponding to the big data analysis method into a workflow supported by the big data analysis apparatus based on analysis resource information of the big data analysis apparatus; and transmitting the reconfigured workflow to the big data analysis apparatus. 프로비넌스 정보 기반의 빅데이터 분석 지원 방법 및 이를 수행하는 장치가 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따른 빅데이터 분석 지원 방법은 빅데이터 분석 장치로부터 빅데이터 분석 방법에 대한 제공 요청을 수신하는 단계와, 상기 빅데이터 분석 장치의 분석 자원 정보에 기초하여 상기 빅데이터 분석 방법에 상응하는 복수의 워크 플로우들 중에서 선택된 워크 플로우를 상기 빅데이터 분석 장치에서 지원하는 워크 플로우로 재구성하는 단계와, 재구성된 워크 플로우를 상기 빅데이터 분석 장치로 전송하는 단계를 포함한다.
