The present invention relates to a cable assembly. The cable assembly comprises: an elongated conductor surrounded by an outer insulator; and an outer ferrule surrounding a part of the conductor. An outer surface of the outer ferrule is modified to create an indentation part having an indentation surface inclined with respect to the outer surface. The indentation part forms a barb that at least partially penetrates the outer insulator.
