Summary: | Disclosed are low-Cr ferritic stainless steel having an excellent vibration damping property, capable of absorbing external vibration energy through control on a precipitate, and a manufacturing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the low-Cr ferritic stainless steel having an excellent vibration damping property includes: 0.005-0.01 wt% of C; 0.005-0.01 wt% of N; 0.1-0.9 wt% of Si; 0.1-0.9 wt% of Mn; 9-14 wt% of Cr; no more than 0.3 wt% of Ni, no more than 0.04 wt% of P; no more than 0.002 wt% of S; 0.15-0.3 wt% of Ti; 0.15-0.3 wt% of Nb; 0.15-0.3 wt% of Cu; 0.01-0.05 wt% of Al; and the remaining of Fe and inevitable impurities. The stainless steel also includes no less than 5×102 units/mm^2 of Nb laves phase precipitates and Cu precipitates.
