Summary:The present invention relates to a method for producing flame retardant leather, comprising: a fabric preparation step comprising processes of soaking, depilating, deliming, aging and salting salted natural leather; a tanning step of tanning the prepared fabric with a phosphorous-based tanning agent, an aluminum-based tanning agent, or a mixture thereof; a neutralizing step of neutralizing the tanned fabric to pH 5 to 7; and a branching step of branching the neutralized fabric with a branching agent. The flame retardant leather produced by the method of the present invention is fire resistant, thereby delaying generation of smoke and the spread of flame when fire occurs. 본 발명은 방염 피혁 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 염장된 천연가죽을 수적, 탈모, 탈회, 효해 및 침산하는 공정을 포함하는 원단 준비 단계; 상기 준비된 원단을 인계 탄닝제, 알루미늄계 탄닝제 또는 이들의 혼합물로 탄닝하는 탄닝 단계; 상기 탄닝된 원단을 pH 5 내지 7로 중화하는 중화 단계; 및 상기 중화된 원단을 가지제로 가지하는 가지 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명의 제조방법으로 제조된 방염 피혁은 불에 강하여 화재 시 불꽃 확산과 연기 발생을 지연시킬 수 있다.
