Summary:The present invention relates to a ferritin variant protein including a ferritin heavy chain monomer and an E-helix truncated ferritin heavy chain monomer, a drug carrier thereof, and a method for preparing the same. When the ferritin variant protein of the present invention is used, active drug loading is possible for various drugs, and drugs can be loaded with high loading efficiency and are released in response to pH sensitivity, thus the present invention can be usefully used as a protein-based drug carrier. 본 발명은 페리틴 중쇄(ferritin heavy chain) 중쇄 단량체 및 E-헬릭스 절단 페리틴(E-helix truncated ferritin) 중쇄 단량체를 포함하는 페리틴 변형체(ferritin variant) 단백질, 약물전달체 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 페리틴 변형체 단백질을 이용하는 경우, 다양한 약물에 대하여 능동적 약물 로딩이 가능하고 높은 로딩 효율로 약물을 로딩할 수 있으며, pH에 민감하게 반응하여 약물을 방출하므로 단백질 기반의 약물전달체로서 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
