Summary:Disclosed in one embodiment of the present invention is a display device. The display device includes: an organic insulating layer; a pixel electrode formed on the organic insulating layer; a pixel defining layer including a first layer which covers the edge of the pixel electrode, has an opening corresponding to the pixel electrode and includes an inorganic insulator, and a second layer which has a light transmittance smaller than that of the first layer in a first wavelength band; an intermediate layer disposed on the pixel electrode exposed through the opening, and having a light emitting layer; and a counter electrode disposed on the intermediate layer. It is possible to prevent damage to a display element due to impurities. 본 발명의 일 실시예는, 유기 절연층과, 유기 절연층 상의 화소전극과, 화소전극의 가장자리를 커버하고 화소전극에 대응하는 개구를 가지며 무기절연물을 포함하는 제1층 및 제1파장대역에서 광 투과율이 상기 제1층 보다 작은 제2층을 포함하는 화소정의막과, 개구를 통해 노출된 상기 화소전극 상에 위치하며 발광층을 구비하는 중간층, 및 중간층 상에 배치되는 대향전극을 포함하는, 디스플레이 장치를 개시한다.
