The present invention relates to control of acceleration and retardation by controlling a fluid and, more specifically, relates to an acceleration/retardation device of a hydraulic powered vehicle and an operation method thereof, which can control a flow of a fluid with a pipe line provided with a hydraulic pump to transmit high-pressure operating oil and a pipe line directly transmitting operating oil to a hydraulic motor. 본 발명은 유체를 조절하여 가감속을 제어하는 발명에 관한 것으로, 더욱 구체적으로는 유압 펌프(pump)가 구비되어 고압의 구동 오일을 전달하는 관로와 유압 모터(motor)에 적집적으로 구동 오일이 전달되는 관로를 구비하여 유체의 흐름을 제어하는 유압 동력 자동차의 가감속 장치 및 이의 구동 방법에 관한 것이다.
