The present invention relates to a method of providing a virtual reality based artwork and an apparatus thereof. A method of providing a computer executable virtual reality based artwork is performed in an apparatus of providing a virtual reality based artwork. The method of providing a virtual reality based artwork includes: a step of receiving a request for appreciating an artwork that is decomposed in time series into a plurality of artwork creation processes, each of which is divided into independent artwork objects as artwork completion processes through smart glasses; and a step of reflecting the characteristic of a specific artist′s artwork according to the selection of a user for each of the plurality of artwork creation processes and allowing the specific artist to provide a virtual reality of creating a corresponding artwork object at a user selection time point. 본 발명은 가상 현실 기반의 작품 제공 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 컴퓨터 수행 가능한(computer executable) 가상 현실 기반의 작품 제공 방법은 연결된 가상 현실 기반의 작품 제공 장치에서 수행된다. 가상 현실 기반의 작품 제공 방법은 스마트 글래스를 통해 작품 완성과정을 독립적인 작품 객체로 각각 구분되는 복수의 작품 생성과정들로 시계열적으로 분해한 작품에 관한 작품 감상 요청을 수신하는 단계 및 상기 복수의 작품 생성과정들 각각마다 사용자 선택에 따른 특정 작가의 작품 특성을 반영하여 상기 특정 작가가 해당 작품 객체를 생성하는 가상 현실을 사용자 선택 시점으로 제공하는 단계를 포함한다.
