The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating cognitive disorder-associated diseases, containing mumefural. More specifically, the present invention relates to: a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cognitive disorder-associated diseases; a dietary supplement composition; a feed composition; and a dietary supplement composition for improving learning, cognitive function or memory, all of the compositions containing mumefural or an acceptable salt thereof as an active component; and a method for treating cognitive disorder-associated diseases by using the pharmaceutical composition. Mumefural of the present invention exhibits an excellent normalization effect and memory improvement effect with respect to damage to parts of the brain such as the basal forebrain, white matter, and the hippocampus, thereby being able to be effectively used for treatment of cognitive disorders associated with degenerative neurological diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer′s disease, memory disorders and the like, which are caused by the damage, for improvement of learning, cognitive function, and memory, and the like. 본 발명은 무메푸랄을 포함하는 인지장애 관련 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 무메푸랄 또는 이의 허용가능한 염을 유효성분으로 포함하는, 인지장애 관련 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물; 건강기능식품 조성물; 사료 조성물; 학습, 인지기능 또는 기억력 개선용 건강기능식품 조성물; 및 상기 약학 조성물을 이용한 인지장애 관련 질환의 치료 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 무메푸랄은 기저전뇌, 백색질, 해마 등 뇌의 손상에 대하여 우수한 정상화 효과 및 기억력 증진 효과를 나타내므로, 이에 의해 발병되는 치매, 알츠하이머 등의 퇴행성 신경질환 및 기억장애 등과 관련한 인지장애의 치료, 학습, 인지기능, 기억력 개선 등에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
