Summary:Disclosed is a pulse frequency modulation (PFM) buck converter using level shifting. According to a detailed embodiment of the present invention, a peak reference voltage (V-t, amp-) is determined as at least one of threshold voltages of four bits as a resistance value of at least one of resistors (R, 2R, 3R, 4R) to adjust an inductor voltage below the peak reference voltage so as to control current flowing into an inductor, thereby reducing a ripple of an output voltage of a load side. Moreover, a circuit configuration of a level shift circuit setting the peak reference voltage is simple so as to minimize power consumption of the PFM buck converter. 본 기술은 레벨 시프팅을 이용한 PFM 벅 컨버터가 개시된다. 본 기술의 구체적인 예에 따르면, 피크 기준 전압(V-)를 저항(R, 2R, 3R, 4R)중 적어도 하나의 저항값으로 4비트의 문턱 전압 중 적어도 하나로결정하여 인덕터 전압이 피크 기준 전압 이하로 조절함에 따라, 인덕터에 흐르는 전류를 피크 이하로 제어하여 부하측 출력 전압의 리플을 줄일 수 있고, 또한 피크 기준 전압을 설정하는 레벨 시프트 회로의 회로 구성이 간단하여 PFM 벅 컨버터의 소비 전력을 최소로 줄일 수 있다.
