The present invention relates to a mouse antibody binding to angiopoietin-2(Ang2), a humanized anti-Ang2 antibody derived therefrom, and a use thereof. The anti-Ang2 antibody possesses the double function of Ang2 neutralization and Tie2 receptor activation. The anti-Ang2 antibody normalizes abnormal and pathological blood vessels, and accordingly exhibits therapeutic effects with regard to various diseases and disorders associated with abnormal blood vessels. The present invention provides an angiogenesis inhibitor comprising the antibody as an active ingredient, and a composition for preventing and treating diseases associated with abnormal Ang2 expression and Tie2 regulation disorders. Furthermore, the present invention provides a composition comprising the antibody for diagnosing diseases associated with Ang2 inhibition and Tie2 activation. 본 발명은 안지오포이에틴-2(Ang2)에 결합하는 마우스 항체, 이로부터 유래된 인간화 항-Ang2 항체 및 그의 용도에 관한 것이다. 상기 항-Ang2 항체는 Ang2를 중화(neutralization)하는 특성과 함께 Tie2 수용체를 활성화시키는 이중 기능을 보유한다. 상기 항-Ang2 항체는 비정상적이며 병리적인 혈관을 정상화시키는 특성을 나타내며, 따라서 비정상적인 혈관과 관련된 다양한 질병 및 장애에 대한 치료 효능을 나타낸다. 본 발명은 상기 항체를 유효성분으로 포함하는 혈관신생 저해제 및 비정상적 Ang2 발현, Tie2 조절 장애와 관련된 질병의 예방 및 치료용 조성물을 제공한다. 또한, 상기 항체를 포함하는 Ang2 저해 및 Tie2 활성화 관련 질병의 진단용 조성물을 제공한다.
