Summary:Disclosed are a method and apparatus for determining a respiration state based on multiple biomarkers calculated using a bio-signal. The method comprises the steps of: collecting a photo-plethysmography signal measured in a photo-plethysmograph (PPG) sensor and an eletrodermal signal measured in an electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor; analyzing the collected photo-plethysmography signal and eletrodermal signal to calculate multiple biomarkers including a breathing rate; and determining a respiration state of a user by comprehensively evaluating the calculated biomarkers. 생체 신호를 이용하여 산출한 복수의 생체 지표를 기초로 호흡 상태를 판단하기 위한 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 생체 신호를 이용하여 산출한 복수의 생체 지표를 기초로 호흡 상태를 판단하기 위한 방법은, PPG(Photo-Plethysmograph) 센서에서 측정된 광용적맥파 신호 및 EDA(Electrodermal Activity) 센서에서 측정된 피부 전기 신호를 수집하는 단계, 수집된 광용적맥파 신호와 피부 전기 신호를 분석하여, 호흡수를 포함한 복수의 생체 지표를 산출하는 단계 및 산출한 복수의 생체 지표를 종합적으로 평가하여 사용자의 호흡 상태를 결정하는 단계를 포함한다.
