An object of the present invention is to provide a method of purifying a polymerization solvent used in a preparing process for a petroleum resin using a dividing wall distillation column, configured to increase energy efficiency of the distillation column, resolving pressure unbalance occurring in the distillation column, and reducing investment costs. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method of purifying a polymerization solvent used in a preparing process for a petroleum resin using a dividing wall distillation column includes a step of injecting a mixture of the polymerization solvent used in the preparing process for a petroleum resin, into the dividing wall distillation column and fractionally distilling the mixture. The dividing wall distillation column comprises: a main tower having a dividing wall and divided into a top section, a supply section, an outflow section, and a bottom section; a condenser; and a reboiler, wherein the mixture of the polymerization solvent is introduced to the supply section of the main tower, and a purified polymerization solvent is discharged to the outflow section of the main tower. 본 발명의 목적은 증류탑에서 에너지 효율을 높이고, 증류탑에서 압력 불균형을 해소하며, 투자 비용을 감소하는 분리벽형 증류탑을 이용한 석유수지 제조 공정의 중합용매 정제방법을 제공하는 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 분리벽형 증류탑을 이용한 석유수지 제조 공정의 중합용매 정제방법은, 석유수지 제조 공정에 사용되는 중합용매의 혼합물을 분리벽형 증류탑에 투입하여 분별 증류하는 단계를 포함하는 중합용매의 정제방법으로, 상기 분리벽형 증류탑은 분리벽을 구비하고, 탑정 구역, 공급 구역, 유출 구역, 및 탑저 구역으로 구분되는 주탑; 응축기; 및 재비기를 포함하고, 상기 중합용매의 혼합물은 상기 주탑의 공급 구역으로 유입되고, 정제된 중합용매는 상기 주탑의 유출 구역으로 유출된다.
