A method and an apparatus for searching an oriental medicine prescription are disclosed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method and the apparatus comprises the steps of: providing user interface for searching the oriental medicine prescription; receiving first search information of a medicine or a prescription to be included in a search result through the user interface; receiving second search information of the medicine or the prescription to be excluded in a search result through the user interface; receiving search condition corresponding to at least one among the number of medicine, formulation, and source through the user interface; and extracting at least one candidate prescription including the first search information of the medicine or the prescription but excluding the second search information of the medicine or the prescription to provide at least one search result prescription satisfying search condition of the extracted candidate prescription by connecting prescription letters in which content recorded on the source is organized by prescription to prescriptions and by looking up database connecting prescriptions with prescription medicine configuring the prescriptions. According to the present invention, it is possible to quickly look up a search result of the oriental medicine prescription. 한의학 처방을 검색하기 위한 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 일실시예에 따른 한의학 처방의 검색 장치는 한의학의 처방을 검색하기 위한 유저 인터페이스를 제공하고, 유저 인터페이스를 통해, 검색 결과에 포함할 약재 또는 처방의 제1 검색 정보를 수신하고, 유저 인터페이스를 통해, 검색 결과에서 제외할 약재 또는 처방의 제2 검색 정보를 수신하고, 유저 인터페이스를 통해, 약재 개수, 제형 및 출전 중 적어도 하나에 대응하는 검색 조건을 수신하고, 출전에 기록된 내용을 처방 별로 정리한 처방 조문들과 처방들을 서로 연결시키고, 처방들과 처방들을 구성하는 처방 약재들을 서로 연결시키는 데이터베이스를 조회하여, 제1 검색 정보의 약재 또는 처방을 포함하고, 제2 검색 정보의 약재 또는 처방을 제외하는 적어도 하나의 후보 처방을 추출하고, 추출된 후보 처방 중 검색 조건을 충족하는 적어도 하나의 검색 결과 처방을 제공할 수 있다.
