The present invention relates to a charging device for an electric vehicle and a control method thereof. The charging device for an electric vehicle comprises: a plurality of charging connectors; an input unit for inputting a charging control command from a user; a display unit for displaying charging information related to charging of the electric vehicle; and a control unit for controlling the charging operation of the electric vehicle connected through the charging connectors, wherein the control unit controls the charging operation based on a connection order of each electric vehicle connected to the plurality of charging connectors. At the same time, when several users want to charge the electric vehicle, the charging can be performed without waiting for the charging of the electric vehicle of another user or visiting another place. 본 발명은 전기 자동차용 충전 장치 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전기 자동차용 충전 장치는, 다수의 충전 커넥터, 사용자로부터 충전 제어 명령을 입력받는 입력부, 전기 자동차의 충전과 관련된 충전 정보를 표시하는 표시부, 상기 충전 커넥터를 통해 연결된 상기 전기 자동차의 충전 동작을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하고, 상기 제어부는 상기 다수의 충전 커넥터와 연결된 각각의 전기 자동차의 연결 순서에 기초하여 상기 충전 동작을 제어하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따르면 동시에 여러 사용자가 전기 자동차를 충전하고자 할 때 다른 사용자의 전기 자동차의 충전을 기다리거나 다른 장소를 방문하지 않고도 충전을 수행할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
