The present invention relates to a superabsorbent resin and a preparing method thereof. The superabsorbent resin of the present invention comprises: a base resin including a cross-linked polymer in which a monomer composition is polymerized and internally cross-linked; and a surface cross-linked resin having the cross-linked polymer additionally cross-linked via a surface cross-linking agent on a particle surface of the base resin. 본 발명은 고흡수성 수지에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는, 3.6wt% 염수에 대해 우수한 흡수 능력을 구현할 수 있어, 음식물 쓰레기 처리에 적합한, 고흡수성 수지, 그 제조 방법, 및 음식물 쓰레기 처리 용품에 관한 것이다.
