Summary: | The present invention relates to a method for screening a prostate cancer patient based on circulating cancer cells and a prostate specific antigen (PSA) intersection test, which has improved sensitivity and specificity for prostate cancer. The method comprises the steps of: collecting blood from a patient; detecting a PSA from the collected blood; isolating circulating tumor cells from the collected blood; detecting the circulating tumor cells expressing prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA) in the isolated circulating tumor cells; analyzing the ratio of the amount of PSMA expression; and comparing the ratio with a reference value.
