Summary: | A purpose of the present invention is to provide a battery case having excellent moisture transmission resistance. More specifically, the present invention relates to the battery case, a battery including an electrode assembly contained in a container of the battery case, and a method for manufacturing the battery, wherein the battery case includes the container containing the electrode assembly. The container includes a bottom wall and a plurality of side walls and the bottom wall and the side walls are integrated to have an open side opposing the bottom wall and form a space where the electrode assembly is to be contained. The container is a formed product of composition including a base polymer and an inorganic moisture absorbent distributed on the base polymer, wherein a water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) measured under 38°C and 100% of a relative humidity according to ISO 15106 and ASTM F1249 is less than 0.05 g/m^2/day.
