The present invention relates to an image processing device and a moving robot having the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the image processing device comprises: an image obtaining unit for obtaining an image; and a processor for performing signal processing on the image from the image obtaining unit. The processor groups a super pixel in the image based on a color or brightness of the image, calculates a representative value of the super pixel, and performs segmentation based on the representative value of the super pixel. Accordingly, the segmentation in the image can be quickly and accurately performed. 본 발명은 이미지 처리 장치, 및 이를 구비하는 이동 로봇에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 이미지 처리장치는, 이미지를 획득하는 영상 획득부와, 영상 획득부로부터의 이미지에 대한 신호 처리를 수행하는 프로세서를 구비하고, 프로세서는, 이미지의 색상 또는 휘도에 기초하여, 이미지 내의 슈퍼 픽셀을 그룹핑하고, 슈퍼 픽셀의 대표값을 연산하고, 슈퍼 픽셀의 대표값에 기초하여, 세그멘테이션을 수행한다. 이에 의해, 이미지 내의 세그멘테이션을 신속하고 정확하게 수행할 수 있게 된다.
