The present invention relates to an electronic watt-hour meter equipped with a middleware platform for function expansion, a system for managing a watt-hour meter application using the same, and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an electronic watt-hour meter equipped with a middleware platform for function expansion, in a watt-hour meter provided with an arbitrary hardware and an operating system, comprises: an application including a metering application related to power metering and an applied application related to a supplementary service; and a middleware platform operating based on the hardware and the operating system and allowing function expansion and execution for the application regardless of the hardware and the operating system. 본 발명은 기능 확장용 미들웨어 플랫폼이 탑재된 전자식 전력량계, 이를 이용한 전력량계 애플리케이션 관리 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 기능 확장용 미들웨어 플랫폼이 탑재된 전자식 전력량계는, 임의의 하드웨어 및 운영체제를 구비하는 전력량계에 있어서, 전력 계량과 관련된 계량 애플리케이션과 부가서비스와 관련된 응용 애플리케이션을 포함하는 애플리케이션; 및 상기 하드웨어 및 상기 운영체제 기반으로 동작하면서, 상기 하드웨어 및 상기 운영체제와 상관없이 상기 애플리케이션에 대한 기능 확장 및 실행을 가능하게 하는 미들웨어 플랫폼;을 포함한다.
