Summary:An image forming apparatus comprises: a cartridge including a rotary body and a driving force receiving member; and a device body capable of attaching and detaching the cartridge. The device body includes a driving force transmitting member, an output member, and a pressing member disposed between the driving force transmitting member and the output member. When the cartridge is detached from the device body and the coupling between the driving force transmitting member and the driving force receiving member is released, the driving force transmitting member is rotated with respect to the output member in a predetermined rotational direction by a pressing force of the pressing member. 화상 형성 장치가, 회전체 및 구동력 수용 부재를 포함하는 카트리지와, 상기 카트리지를 착탈 가능한 장치 본체를 포함한다. 상기 장치 본체는, 구동력 전달 부재, 출력 부재, 및 상기 구동력 전달 부재와 상기 출력 부재 사이에 배치되는 가압 부재를 포함하며, 상기 카트리지가 상기 장치 본체로부터 탈거되고 상기 구동력 전달 부재와 상기 구동력 수용 부재 사이의 결합이 해제되었을 경우, 상기 구동력 전달 부재는, 상기 가압 부재의 가압력에 의해 미리 결정된 회전 방향으로 상기 출력 부재에 대해 회전된다.
