Disclosed are a parking control system and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the parking control system shifts gears of a vehicle forward and backward through brake operation of a driver, and comprises: a driving information detection unit detecting driving information from various sensors in accordance with vehicle driving; an electronic transmission generating a brake conversion mode request signal with R-stage double input; a control unit determining whether the vehicle enters a brake conversion mode by collecting the driving information when the brake conversion mode request signal is generated; and a gear shifting controller variably controlling gear shifting stages between an R-stage and a D-stage when a brake conversion signal is inputted, wherein a brake pressure of the driver is more than a reference brake pressure after entering the brake conversion mode. 주차 제어 시스템 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 운전자의 브레이크 조작을 통해 차량의 전후진 변속을 전환하는 주차 제어 시스템은, 차량 운행에 따른 각종 센서로부터 운전정보를 검출하는 운전정보 검출부, R단 더블입력으로 브레이크 전환모드 요구신호를 발생하는 전자식 변속기, 상기 브레이크 전환모드 요구신호가 발생되면 상기 운전정보를 수집하여 브레이크 전환모드의 진입여부를 판단하는 제어부 및 상기 브레이크 전환모드에 진입 후 운전자의 브레이크 압력이 기준 브레이크 압력 이상인 브레이크 전환신호가 입력되면 R단과 D단 간의 변속단을 가변 제어하는 변속 제어기를 포함한다.
