According to various embodiments of the present invention, an electronic device comprises: a bio-sensor module including a light emitting module having a first light emitting element with a first attribute, and a second light emitting element with a second attribute, and a light receiving module disposed adjacent to the light emitting module; and a processor, wherein the processor can be configured to determine a distance between the bio-sensor module and an external object based at least on a reflected light which is a light emitted from the light emitting module and reflected by the external object, select at least one light emitting element among the first light emitting element and the second light emitting element based on the distance, and obtain biometric information on the external object by using the selected at least one light emitting element.
