The present invention relates to a light emitting device of which reliability can be increased. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the light emitting device comprises: a body having first and second lateral surface units corresponding to each other, third and fourth lateral surface units close to the first and second lateral surface units and corresponding to each other and a concave unit having an upper part opened between the first lateral surface unit and the fourth lateral surface unit; a first lead frame arranged on a first region of the concave unit; a second lead frame arranged a second region of the concave unit; a light emitting chip arranged on at least one of the first and second frames; and a molding member arranged on the concave unit and protecting the light emitting chip. A length of the first and second lateral surface units is formed to be longer than a length of the third and fourth lateral surface units in the body, wherein the first and second lateral surface units of the body include a plurality of recess units which is concave in an internal direction of the body to be connected to a lower surface of the body, and the plurality recess units are arranged to be separated from each of the first and second lateral surface units. 실시 예에 따른 발광 소자는, 서로 대응되는 제1 및 제2측면부, 상기 제1 및 제2측면부에 인접하며 서로 대응되는 제3 및 제4측면부, 상기 제1 내지 제4측면부의 사이에 상부가 개방된 오목부를 갖는 몸체; 상기 오목부의 제1영역에 배치된 제1리드 프레임; 상기 오목부의 제2영역에 배치된 제2리드 프레임; 상기 제1 및 제2리드 프레임 중 적어도 하나의 위에 배치된 발광 칩; 및 상기 오목부에 배치되며 상기 발광 칩을 보호하는 몰딩 부재를 포함하며, 상기 몸체는 상기 제1 및 제2측면부의 길이가 상기 제3 및 제4측면부의 길이보다 길게 형성되며, 상기 몸체의 제1측면부 및 상기 제2측면부에는 상기 몸체의 하면과 연결되도록 상기 몸체의 내측 방향으로 오목한 복수의 리세스부를 포함하며, 상기 복수의 리세스부는 상기 제1측면부 및 제2측면부 각각에 서로 이격되게 배치된다.
